Day Thirty-Six

Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content. But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. ~ 1 Timothy 6: 6-10

God didn't give us these things on earth so that we can praise them, He gave us these things as a gift, a gift to see you smile. Just as you and I love seeing the faces on our friends when they receive a gift from us, God does too! So He keeps giving. But what God doesn't love is to watch you praise that stuff instead of Him. Todays challenge is to praise God, and let go of the things of this world. Because no gift is as important as the gift God has given us. God's love for us. Eternal life with Him. Hope. A future. Peace. happiness. Praise God for these things instead of praising things.
