Week 27
Life has it's ups and downs, everyone goes through bad things because no ones life is perfect. But everyone is also very different, some people might have the same problem but they handle it differently and some people could have a totally different problem yet they handle it the same. So when the waves of life settle down and the troubles finally come to an end everyone has a different result and some are good and some are worse than before they started. The difference between these two people is that one does not have God. If you have God with you throughout your trouble you'll be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. And when you reach the end of this tunnel you will be re-newed, re-freshed, and re-built. You are becoming the person that God created you to be. You are becoming you!
Let's say you are a glass of water and someone (Satan) had a dropper full of:

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. Philippians 2:3-4 NIV
Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand.

A Ballad Of The Trees And The Master
Into the woods my Master went,
Into the woods my Master went,
Clean forspent, forspent.
Into the woods my Master came,
Forspent with love and shame.
But the olives they were not blind to Him,
The little gray leaves were kind to Him:
The thorn-tree had a mind to Him
When into the woods He came.
Out of the woods my Master went,
And He was well content.
Out of the woods my Master came,
Content with death and shame.
When Death and Shame would woo Him last,
From under the trees they drew Him last:
'Twas on a tree they slew Him -- last
When out of the woods He came.

Happy Father's Day Everyone
(Picture from Pinterest)
I hope everyone is having a great father's day! I'm sure if my sister and I didn't just have our teeth taken out we'd probably go mini golfing or something with our dad, but instead we are all enjoying a happy evening together at home, which is just as fun! ;-) God Bless!
Week 25
Everyone's always telling me to "have Grace," but what does it mean? That's when I started doing some research. This is what I found.
God's/The Bible's definition of Grace:
God's/The Bible's definition of Grace:
Grace- an underserved favor of gift; the underserved forgiveness, kindness and mercy that God gives us.
The Synonyms: forgiveness, charity, mercifulness.
The Antonyms: animosity, enmity, disfavor.
Okay, so what it's saying is, if someone hurts you in any way you should have Grace; show mercy, and forgive them. Sometimes it can be hard though, what do you do then? Then you need to talk to God. Tell Him about it and ask Him to help you forgive.

Week 24
From Romans 12:9-21:
Love is a beautiful thing, but sometimes can be very difficult. You have to love friends, family, even enemies. And that's a lot to think about!
Rule #1: Love must be sincere.
Rule #2: Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
Rule #3: Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.
Rule #4: Honor one another above yourselves.
Rule #5: Never be lacking in zeal (eagerness; strong desire), but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
Rule #6: Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer.
Rule #7: Share the Lords Truth- Reach out
Rule #8: Live in harmony
Rule #9: Do not be conceited
Rule #10: Overcome evil with good
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:9-21

Modesty- Shorts- This Ones For The Girls
I recently read a blog post about how short shorts should be. At first I was kind of disappointed with what they said because I thought my length of shorts was long enough, but who wouldn't be upset about that? Anyways, it said your shorts should be about two inches up from your knee. So the "shorts" their talking about is like mini capris. That's almost two times the length of my shorts now!
So the next time I wore my shorts, I paid attention to everything. And guess what? When I sat down, they scrunched up to an inappropriate length. So, it took me a while, but I finally agreed with what they said in that post. I want to be God's little girl, and the first line of business is perfecting modesty. You may be thinking, how can changing my clothes help me in my relationship with God? Well it can, and I'll tell you why.
God only wants what's best for you and me, and this is the best place to start. God made your body for your husbands eyes only. Not for everyone to see. When I walk down the street and I see a girl wearing shorts too short, I shun them. But not on purpose! I try to be nice but it's hard to not look at those spots when passing people, and it's even harder to talk to them. Girls, that's not how to get attention!
Being modest doesn't mean you have to wear ugly clothes, it doesn't mean you have to wear skirts all the time (unless you want to), and it certainly doesn't mean you have to cover your entire body like a body shield. It just mean to cover the private parts. And they make beautiful clothes that do that!

Jesus Take the Wheel
She was driving last Friday on her way to Cincinnati
On a snow white Christmas Eve
Going home to see her Mama and her Daddy with the baby in the backseat
Fifty miles to go and she was running low on faith and gasoline
It'd been a long hard year
She had a lot on her mind and she didn't pay attention
She was going way too fast
Before she knew it she was spinning on a thin black sheet of glass
She saw both their lives flash before her eyes
She didn't even have time to cry
She was so scared
She threw her hands up in the air
Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel
It was still getting colder when she made it to the shoulder
And the car came to a stop
She cried when she saw that baby in the backseat sleeping like a rock
And for the first time in a long time
She bowed her head to pray
She said I'm sorry for the way
I've been living my life
I know I've got to change
So from now on tonight
Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on
Oh, Jesus take the wheel
Oh, I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on
From this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel
Oh, take it, take it from me.
Oh, wow, ohhhhh.

Week 23
Where There's a Will, There is always a Way
My little brother is a perfect example of how 'where there's a will, there's a way." It's funny actually, when you tell him that he can't play with mommy's books for example, and block any possible entrance to them, he WILL find a way to get them. I'm not even kidding, he is determined to get those books. (lol)
This is what God wants you to do, he always wants you to be able to find a way to him. He always wants to find ways to what is good. He always wants you to be happy. And to be truly happy means to always have God by your side and on your mind. He loves you, and you love him. So never stop looking for Him, don't let anything stand in your way.
