Today's challenge is to do something new. Make a new habit. Yesterday the challenge was to trust and believe in God. But I also said to make it a habit of talking to God. Two challenges in one day? Yeah, I know. So today the challenge is to begin the habit of talking to God instead of yourself (but you can still talk to yourself). And if it makes you feel better when someone asks who you were talking to, you can still say yourself. If you want.

Day Fifty-Six

The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 1 John 1:9
 
Is there life after death? Will we really see Jesus' face when we die? These are some of the questions that may be going through your mind. But I know the answer to these things. That answer is yes. It says it in The Book that God has given us.
But how do you know some crazy guy didn't write it?
Because no one on earth would fake something so valuable. After all, the Bible has been with us since before time. The Bible states things that are true, and I know this because I've seen the truth in it. I have seen others read the Bible and truly change. It's because God is real.
So today's challenge is to accept and believe that He is real. Some of you might already know that He is real, but do you spent quality time with Him? When you talk to yourself are you really talking to yourself or God? Make it a habit to talk to Him. Trust in Him. Believe in Him. Because He believes in you.

Today's challenge is to ask God for eternal joy. Ask this, and he will give it to you. You will be a happy person. But sometimes you have to ask it more then once. But this isn't God's fault, you let that joy slip out of you. Become closer to Christ, and you will always be happy.

Someday you will see Jesus' face. Someday all your worries will be gone. Someday everything will be perfect. But until that day comes I will enjoy my life right now. I will embrace every moment the best that I can, because tomorrow won't be the same. Today's challenge is to count every moment. Don't worry about tomorrow because no matter how hard you try it is still going to come. So love today. And count on tomorrow being great.

When something bad happens to you, you usually are sad or upset or sometimes even mad. Todays challenge is to start a new habit. And that habit will be to smile when your plans go out of whack. Be happy because, though God's plans don't match your own, it was all part of God's great plan to teach you and to help you become the man/woman He created you to be.

Trust in the Lord because He is true. I know this from experience. I know I'm not that old, but I've seen the Miracles He's given to others. I've seen the amazing changes He makes in people. That's why I believe. Todays challenge is to tell a friend or stranger about His beautiful miracles and what they've done to others.

God did amazing things to save us from the wrong things we've done. And for that we should Praise His Name forever.
Forever sounds like a long time, but does being forever peaceful sound long? It definitely sounds AMAZING to me!

Day Forty-Nine

Have you ever heard of the famous Proverbs 31 Woman? Have you ever wanted to be like her? I know I do. But how do you become a Proverbs 31 Woman? (I'm starting to sound like a commercial for a website or something, lol) Well, start by reading Proverbs 31 (it's not very long, so it shouldn't take to much time). If you are not a woman, that's okay, this post could still be helpful for you. In the verse above it says she works hard, not to provide food for her family (that's men's work) but to make it, to cook, clean, and enjoy what she is doing. But how could you do all that and still be happy while doing it?
 
"I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secrets of being happy in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through Him who gives me strength." Philippians 4:12-13
 
I know what I must do in life, being a girl myself I know my own duties. Cook, clean, take care of my little brothers. And even in the future I know what needs to be done. And I must do it faithfully, and happily. Knowing that I will make my Lord proud.
 
So todays challenge is to make God proud of you. Do what He's led you to do. Whether it's going to California to work for some big company, or staying where you are and being an at home mom. Do what He is leading you to do.

Todays challenge is to win a good name. In God's eyes, you already have a good name. And even though what other people think of you doesn't matter, you still should prove them wrong. Say someone thinks your lazy. Say that that was true. Try to do the opposite of that. Prove them wrong. Work diligently, for God.

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, for your working for the Lord, not for men..." Colossians 3:23-24

Day Forty-Five

This world has got love messed up.
Example: A teenager boy just started dating this girl. Though he barely knows this girl, but by the second day he says he loves her, and she says she loves him. But they barely know each other! God tells us to love everyone the way that He loves everyone. But when Bobby says to Susie he loves her, does he mean it? Of course not! This is exactly why there are so many divorces now a days. 
 
Love is a special thing. You have to take it seriously. The people of this world abuse the word love, and take advantage of it. But only to hurt someone.
 
Todays challenge is to love. But not the love you usually use. You must use true love. You have to mean it when you tell them you love them. Don't just say it to make them feel good. True love only comes from the Father. You must love Him to love others. Open your eyes to see those He loves. Love them the way He does.

Todays Challenge is to talk to God about your concerns, your worries and fears. Do not loose hope if you think He can't here you, or He's not listening. Just remember, a teacher is always quiet during a test.

I know God wants me to honor others more than myself, yet I still honor myself more. I strive to do what God wants me to, even if I don't want to. Choosing God's instructions are much better than choosing your own. So todays challenge is to honor others more than yourself.

Todays challenge is simply to believe in God. Some days are difficult to believe in Him because of the fear in your heart that is overpowering your love for Him. So talk to God and walk with Him today, and don't forget, He knows what will happen today, and you don't.

Day Thirty-Six

Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content. But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. ~ 1 Timothy 6: 6-10
 
 
God didn't give us these things on earth so that we can praise them, He gave us these things as a gift, a gift to see you smile. Just as you and I love seeing the faces on our friends when they receive a gift from us, God does too! So He keeps giving. But what God doesn't love is to watch you praise that stuff instead of Him. Todays challenge is to praise God, and let go of the things of this world. Because no gift is as important as the gift God has given us. God's love for us. Eternal life with Him. Hope. A future. Peace. happiness. Praise God for these things instead of praising things.

Todays challenge is to cast all your anxieties on Him. He loves you SO much, that He came down from Heaven onto this dusty world to save YOU. Thank God for saving you, and after that is done, thank Him again.

Todays challenge is to say "If it is the Lord's will, we will live to do this or that." Instead of deciding on your own. Before you make a decision in anything, even the little things, ask God "Is this your will for me?"
